Description

Orthosis composed by one part of thermoplastic material covering the thenar eminence and palmar arch, hold in place with an attachment strap at the dorsal area. A metal part fit on the index and second finger is connected with a joint. A spring assist extension of the finger. Designed to stabilise the thumb, index and second finger, assisting finger extension and allowing MP flexion.

Contra Indication Text

No or bad finger flexors.
Ulcer at the place where the orthosis fits on the fingers.
Excessive oedema.

Intended Use Text

Orthosis to assist finger extension, enabling pinching of the hand and execution of daily activities in order to participate in society.
To be applied in case the prefabricated version does not fit due to impairments of body functions and/or structures.
