Description

Orthosis to flex or extend the elbow with a lock which is controlled by the body. Has a forearm and upper arm cuff sections from leather or thermoplastic and bilateral monocentric joints. Adjustable position lock activate through
* passive or active control from the shoulder harness device with a cable used to adjust the lock
* contra-lateral hand control
* shoulder abduction and spring systems.
Designed to provide control as well as function to a flail or weak elbow.

Intended Use Text

Orthosis to lock the elbow in an adjustable flexed or extended position not to disturb normal posture as a consequence of a passive arm, to enable execution of daily activities in order to participate in society.
To be applied in case the prefabricated version does not fit due to impairments of body functions and/or structures.
