Description

The distal part of the trans-tibia amputation prosthesis is composed by:
Functional components:
* ankle-foot device: foot with restricted motion and no physical joint
Structural components:
* endoskeletal components, lightweight
* alignment components
* connectors, lightweight.
Finishing components:
* foam cover
* stocking.

The distal part of the prosthesis is connected to a trans-tibia interface following the biomechanical and physiological characteristics of the user.

Prosthesis has to be aligned properly according to the biomechanical principles.

High stability at stance phase.

The total prosthesis is preferably light considering the multiple impairments and sensitivity to the weight of the user.
The integral prosthesis is custom made.

Contra Indication Text

High load on outer parts of the prosthesis, e.g. kneeling with support on knee.
Contact with water.

Intended Use Text

Supposed to be used as functional (to sit, to stand) and cosmetic replacement of the amputated part of the leg for a user who does not have the ability or potential to stand, transfer and can not ambulate. The prosthesis could enable standing but not walking
